BenBen Long - Mornings 6 to 10am

Ben Long is the greatest and most talented person in the world...at least that's what I tell myself as I lie awake in bed every night.  Growing up in the tiny hamlet of Ida Grove, IA, I dreamed of fame and fortune available in the world beyond my door.  Then I fell in love with radio and soon left those dreams behind...along with my Ninja Turtle toys.  I really enjoy helping people get through the day with great music and (hopefully) funny stories.  In my spare time I enjoy reading, golfing, and drinking (not necessarily in that order).  Feel free to contact me anytime on the Y line, unless you have a new story about your pet...I have one and she's not that interesting.  Naturally, I'm still single, because apparently being chubby and short on cash isn't that appealing to the "fairer" sex.  If women were really "fair", they would offer to pick up half the check once and a while.  Anyway, I really appreciate you tuning in to Y101.3 and invite you to contact us with any  thoughts or suggestions...unless they relate to your cat Mr. Bojangles.

Cowboy Bob

Cowboy Bob – Middays 10 to 3pm

Writing a Bio – GREAT- I’d rather have a tooth pulled without drugs!  Ok, So here goes.

I’ve been in this Radio business in Sioux City for about 26 years now and still having fun!

I guess it isn’t any secret … I mean the other radio stations I’ve worked at in this town, in fact the last one is just across the hallway!   In March of 2006 I was given a chance to become Program Director here at Y-101.3 and play the Best of Yesterday and Today - Five Decades of Country music and I’m loving every minute of it!

Well in an effort to save money on a Match.com ad – here is a little bit about me…

  • I’m a 1970 graduate of Woodbury Central (I’m a Wildcat) and I’ve lived around Moville all my life.

  • I’m single, in my mid 50’s and live on an acreage.   I have a dog named “Dennis” (he’s a Blue Healer/Border Collie mix), A Ropin’ horse named JB and no cats!

  • Hobbies… Horses, Team Roping, work on the acreage, fiddling with my old M tractor, and love to take in at least one Hawkeye game at Kinnick Stadium each year.

  • Favorite Singer and Band… Singer - George Strait    Band - Asleep at the Wheel

  • Favorite Movie …  Lonesome Dove or anything with Catherine Zeta Jones, Tommy Lee Jones, or Clint Eastwood in it

  • Sports team …   Iowa Hawkeyes

Thank you so much for listening to Y-101.3!   Cowboy Bob

TylerTyler Storm  Evenings 6PM-Midnight

Welcome to my little corner of the world!!!  As I am sure you know, I’m Tyler.  Thanks for listening to Y101.3, especially between 6pm and Midnight.   Now for a little about me...I am a weird guy. I have a weird sense of humor, I laugh at weird jokes, I like to do weird things. Beyond that, I am pretty much a redneck. I love me some dirt track racing. . Other than that, my other true love is country music. All of it, from Hank Williams, to Hank Jr, to Hank III. Good music is simply good music, and country is music at its best!  Oh yeah, check out my website:  http://www.myspace.com/mafiasoldier47

And now for something totally different, random Tyler Facts:

  • Favorite Food: Anything from Taco Bell

  • Favorite Nascar driver:  Dale Jr.

  • Hometown:  Davenport, IA

  • Did I graduate high school?  Shockingly enough I did

  • Favorite part about being in radio:  Meeting all the great Y1013 listeners

If you want to know more…I’m a little scared, but check out my website and drop me a line!!!  Now, I am going back into your radio.

J. J. Webb – Sundays 12 to 6pm

"Ahhhh, so you're a JJ Webb fan and want to know a little more about me. Okay then. I was born and raised here in Sioux City, a graduate of East High, and in 1993, I discovered country radio, or maybe it discovered me...one or the other. In 2003, I married my beautiful wife Tracy and in August of 2006, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter Claire. Not too long ago, I decided to move away from radio and go to work for a local company, but of course, I still have an itch for being behind the mic, so listen for me each weekend here on Y101.3 with the latest, to the greatest in country music. Here are just a few tidbits in case your interested...

  • NFL - Team: Miami Dolphins,

  • Nascar - Driver: Was a Dale Sr. fan since 1989, became a Harvick fan after he passed away, but will always love the Intimidator.

  • Hobbies: Riding motorcycles, shooting pool, camping with my family, big time movie buff

  • Favorite country singer: Tough call! Probably Don Williams or George Strait, but there are others!

  • Favorite movie: Forget it, too many to list
